About the Clinician

Our Head Clinician Olwen Forker has over 18 years extensive experience working in the paediatric field of Speech Pathology.  Olwen works predominantly in the private sector but she also consults on projects that target improved outcomes for Queensland’s most disadvantaged and vulnerable children. As part of her consultancy services in the project area, Olwen works as a Speech Pathologist to offer these little ones equal access and opportunity to the same early intervention and assessment services that their more advantaged peers have.

Olwen has written and published a body of work that includes her Early Years and School-Aged intervention programs. These are used extensively in Kindergartens, Prep and Learning Support settings across Queensland. They are also implemented within many Family Day Care Education Services within Queensland including Choices Family Day Care and Education Service, Regional Choices Family Day Care and Wynnum Family Day Care. As Olwen consults extensively with a range of organisations, Schools and Kindergartens she is well versed on the Australian Curriculum, The Early Years Learning Framework and the Queensland Kindergarten Curriculum.
